Clare Journal, Thur 14 Jan 1858: Marriages. On the 12th inst., at the parish chapel, by the Very Rev. Dean Kenny, Dr. Thomas O’Grady, Newmarket-on-Fergus, to Maryanne, third daughter of the late Thomas Hogan, of this town.

Clare Journal, Mon 25 Jan 1858: Marriages. On the 20th inst., at Tulla, in this county, by the Rev. Hugh Brady Huleatt, uncle of the bride, David, eldest son of Henry Knox Courtnay, Park View, county Dublin, Esq., to Lizzie, eldest daughter of the late Rev. Richard Brew, the former rector of Tulla.

Clare Journal, Thur 28 Jan 1858: Marriages. On Monday morning, at Clonlara, by the Rev. Mr. Gleeson, assisted by the Rev. John Halpin, Eliza, daughter of the late John Bennett, Esq., of Doonass, in this county, to John, son of James Quin, Esq., Broad-street, Limerick. After the ceremony the bridal party adjourned to the residence of the bride, where they partook of a sumptuous dejeuner, and the happy couple soon afterwards proceeded en route to Dublin.
At Ballyvaughan, on the 26th inst., by the Very Rev. P. J. Ryder, P.P., V.G., Mr. John Comyn, second son of Mr. Michael Comyn, of Clarevill, to Susan, eldest daughter of Mr. William Hogan, of Ballyvaughan.
On the 25th inst., at the Metropolitan Church, Marlborough-street, by the Rev. Laurence Leonard, P.P., Galway, I. B. Daly, nephew of his Excellency Henry H. Breen, Administrator of Government, St. Lucia, West Indies, to Henrietta Emily, youngest daughter of Henry Comerford, Esq., J.P., Merchant’s-road, Galway, and Ballykeel, in this county.

Clare Journal, Mon 1 Feb 1858: Marriages. January 27th, in the Metropolitan Church, Marlborough-street, Dublin, Edmond Walter Kelly, Esq., eldest son of John Crofton Kelly, Esq., of Cregg, county Roscommon, to Sarah Helena, eldest daughter of Gregory Martyn, Esq., of Gregan’s Castle, in this county, and 6, Mountjoy-place, Dublin.

Clare Journal, Mon 15 Feb 1858: Marriages. The marriage of Denis J. Hannen, Esq., of Ballycunane Cottage, to the handsome and accomplished Miss Catherine E. Halpin, daughter of John Halpin, Esq., Drumdigus House. The marriage ceremony was performed in the Roman Catholic Church of Kilmurry, by the Rev. Edmond Tallent, P.P. A large company were invited in honour of the marriage; forty-two sat down to dinner. Among the guests were Thomas Austin Peacock, late Officer of Excise, Michael Colpoys., Arthur Colpoys, William Colpoys, Patrick Slattery, and John Butler, jun., Esqrs. The dinner and supper were served up by Mrs. Pierce, of Knock; the choicest delicasies of the season was served out, and the mountain-dew and champaigne were in abundance. Thomas A. Peacock, Esq., proposed, in happy terms, the health of the bride and bridegroom, which was responded to by Mr. Hannen. Several excellent speeches were delivered on the happy occasion. The celebrated Patrick William Wilson, from Kerry, was the musicianer in attendance, and played up to chanticleer. Communicated.

Clare Journal, Thur 18 Feb 1858: Marriages. On Tuesday, Denis Cullinan, Esq., eldest son of Timothy Cullinan, Esq., Shanaway, in this county, to Bedelia M. Kerin, second daughter of the late Thomas Kerin, Esq., of Glengariff Cottage, in this county.
On Monday, at Sixmile-bridge Roman Catholic Church, by the Rev. Mr. Clune, P.P., John Nolan, Esq., of Mounttrenchard, Glynn, county Limerick, to Anne, daughter of Solomon Frost, Esq., of Rossmanaher House.
On Tuesday, at Kilmurry Roman Catholic Church, by the Rev. P. Barry, P.P., Patrick Frost, Esq., of Dromline, to Maria, daughter of Michael Killeen, Esq., of Molosky.
On the 16th inst., in the Presbyterian Church, Ennis, by the Rev. Thomas Warren, Constable Eaton, Miltown Malbay, to Miss Armstrong, Goodlands Cottage, Miltown Malbay.

Clare Journal, Mon 22 Feb 1858: Marriages. On the 10th inst., at Kilkee, by the Rev. T. Breen, P.P., Joseph Kelly, Esq., Friar’s-town, Kildare, to Anne Maria, daughter of the late T. Kelly, Esq., Leitrim Lodge.
On Saturday, at Killard Church, by the Rev. W. Goold, Samuel Brindley, Esq., of Happy Grove, near Nenagh, to Susan, third and youngest daughter of Thomas Studdert, Esq., of Danganelly house.
On Saturday, 13th February, at Mullough, by the Very Rev. Timothy Kelly, V.G. and P.P., of Kilrush, uncle to the bride, Mr. Pat. O’Dea, only son of the late Gilbert O’Dea, Esq., of Derrycrissane, to Maria, second daughter of the late Pat. Kelly, Esq., of Cragaknock.

Gordon Swift McNeill, John Haughton, Esq., only son of Alfred Haughton, Esq., of Ardfeigh, county Kildare, to Maria Jane, third daughter of the late Thomas Pilkington, Esq., of Waterpark, in this county.

Charles Fitzgerald, of Clondegad Glebe, Ennis, father to the bridegroom, Michael Fitzgerald, Esq., of Henrietta Susan, youngest daughter of the late Rev. Richard Coplen Langford, Vicar of Kilfarboy, in this county.

Clare Journal, Thur 23 Sep 1858: Marriages. On Tuesday, the 21st instant, at St. Patrick Church, Parteen, by the Right Rev. Dr. Fallon, R.C., Bishop of Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora, assisted by the Rev. Wm. Bourke, P.P., St. John’s, uncle of the bride, and Rev. Daniel O’Connor, D.D., Thomas Greene, Esq., Esq., Ennis, to Honoria, eldest daughter of John MacDonnell, Esq., J.P., Fairy-hill, in this county. The ships in harbour belonging to Mr. MacDonnell displayed their gayest flags in rejoicing for the happy event.

Clare Journal, Thur 14 Oct 1858: Marriages. On yesterday morning, by the Rev. H. W. Jones, at Adare Church, W. Fosbery, Esq., son of the late Wm. Fosbery, Esq., of Grey-bridge, co. Limerick, to Jane, daughter of the late John Scot Esq., of Fir-grove, in this county.
