Hello all.
Ive been busy over the last few months putting together a new website about the War Of Independence in the IRA's First Western divisional area - Clare and South Galway. The web address is;
http://www.warofindependence.net
Its content includes eyewitness accounts of events, period photographs, history articles, accounts of ambushes and barracks attacks and an interactive map with photographs and diagrams showing where key events took place and the location of war memorials and war graves today.Although I'm the sites creator and administrator Im not the only contributor. Three other local historians who specialise in the War of Independence and Civil War period will be contributing articles and content to the site as it develops.
If anyone would like to write a relevant article for the site, or has pictures or other information they can contact me at padraigoruairc@gmail.com
So thats it check out the site - and if the sites administrators here could stick up a permanent link for the site id appreciate it!
Thanks
