These facsimiles were acquired about 1940 by Professor Myles Dillon. They are photostat copies of manuscripts in the library of the Royal Irish Academy. Each item is in a separate box; each box has a number such as Av2 on it: these are the Royal Irish Academy numbers. Inside each box, on top of the manuscript, is a facsimile of the page of the RIA catalogue of manuscripts which describes the item in detail. These descriptions are excellent. The number given for each item below is the RIA number.
