Hello all - could Derry be regarded as 'DOIRE' - OAK - like in Derry in N.I. ? There is an area outside Doonbeg which is Derryard - poss. high oak - with no mention of this place in Census - Miriam.

Hi Miriam,

Thanks for your suggestion but with regard to this particular Derrygraney anyway, I think we've pinned it down. Now all that's left is to pin down the connection between the Sheedys!!
