a submarine near killadysert

Post by matthewmacnamara » Mon May 09, 2022 7:06 pm

During world war 2 an intelligence report made its way to the UK authorities
that a submarine [presumably German] had been seen in the Shannon somewhere
off Killadysert. I myself once spoke to a Canon Island man who assured me that
he had seen it. Would anyone know something about this?

Isn't it a well-known fact that German U-boats refuelled in neutral Ireland during the Second World War?
