More resources for Clare estate records

Post by smcarberry » Mon Aug 20, 2007 11:30 pm

I have looked over the Betit/Radford book on Irish genealogy and it is on
my list of recommended books. The following is from an online article
at:
http://globalgenealogy.com/globalgazett ... azkb68.htm

I am showing below the references to some records relating to
estate records which might be useful for Clare research:

Estate Records of the Irish Famine: A Second Guide to Famine Archives, 1840-1855, by Andrés Eiríksson and Cormac O Gráda, lists collections at the NAI, the NLI, the PRONI, and county, university and other libraries in Ireland. The book is arranged alphabetically by county and name of proprietor.

The National Register of Archives produced by the Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts inventories manuscript collections repositories in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
