Clare Journal, Thur 20 Jul 1854: Marriages. This morning, in Ennis Church, by the Rev. Theobald Butler, brother to the bridegroom, Augustine Butler, Esq., of Ballyline, D.L., to Kate, eldest daughter of the late Andrew Stacpoole, Esq., of Ballyally. The bride was attended to the Church by the following bridesmaids – Miss Stacpoole, sister to the bride, the Misses Stacpoole of Edenvale, Miss Gabb, Miss Morgan, and the two lovely children of Alexander Bannatyne, Esq. After the ceremony the company returned to Ballyally, the seat of Wm. Stacpoole, Esq., where a splendid dejeune was provided, after which the happy couple proceeded on their way to Killarney to spend the honeymoon. This evening a ball and supper is to take place at Ballyally, in celebration of the happy event.
