Clare Journal, Thur 3 May 1855: Marriages. On Monday last, at the church of Kilmurry, Clonderlaw, by the Rev. Robert Studdert, Capt., Francis Gore, of the Clare Militia, and of Tyredagh, castle, co. of Clare, to Ellen, daughter of George Studdert, Esq., J.P., Clonderlaw. The happy pair were attended to and from the altar by 100 of the relatives and friends of the respective families, who partook of an elegant dejeuner at Clonderlaw house. The bride and bridegroom left at 4 o’clock, via Limerick en route for the County of Wicklow. On arriving at Clare village, where relays of horses were stationed, the band and men of the Militia turned out and loudly cheered the happy pair.
On Sunday, in Jail street, by the Rev. Mr. Newport, Michael Hewson, Sergeant-Major, Clare Regiment of Militia, to Frances, daughter of the late Mr. John Morony.
