Clare Journal, Thur 8 Jan 1857: Marriages. At Sixmile-bridge, Crofton Hamilton Fitzgerald, Esq., son of C. Fitzgerald, Esq., of Sidmouth, Devon, and nephew of the late Sir Wm. Fitzgerald, of Carrigoran, Bart, to Ellen Margaret, eldest daughter of Col. Giles Vandeleur Creagh.

Clare Journal, Thur 22 Jan 1857: Marriages. At the Cathedral, by the Lord Riversdale, Bishop of Killaloe, John Going, Esq. of Birdhill House, to Eliza, youngest daughter of the Rev. Charles Mayne, V.G., Rector of Kilmastulla.

Clare Journal, Thur 12 Feb 1857: Marriages. In Kilkee church, Henry Baylee, Esq., of Shannon Vale and Hazle Point, county Tipperary, to Elizabeth, daughter of John Bouchier, Esq., Castle Lloyd, Kilkee.

Clare Journal, Thur 19 Feb 1857: Marriages. On 14th inst., at Kilrush Church, by the Rev. E. S. Welsh, of Newtown House, grandfather to the bride, J. Marriner Redmayne, Esq., son of Giles Redmayne of Boothey Hall, Westmoreland, and of York-place, Portman-square, London, Esq., to Jane A. only daughter of Rear-Admiral Studdert, of Pella, in this county.
On Tuesday, at the Roman Catholic Church, Scariff, by the Rev. Michael O’Connor, P.P., of Clare, John Lyons, Esq., of Barntick, to Kate, eldest daughter of Mr. John Crotty, of Scariff.
On Monday last, at the Parish Chapel, Ennis, by the Rev. Mr. Newport, Mr. James Leyden, of the firm of McMahon and Leyden of this town, to Ellen daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Butler of this town.
On Saturday evening, at the same place, Mr. T. Finn, Church-street, to Miss Kate Blanche, both of Ennis.

Clare Journal, Thur 26 Mar 1857: Marriages. This morning, at the Presbyterian Church, Ennis, by the Rev. T. Warren, Constable James Little, of Newmarket-on-Fergus, to Miss Isabella Cameron, of this town. This was the first marriage according to the forms of the Presbyterian Church that has ever taken place in Clare.

Maunsell, rector of Castleisland, county Kerry, uncle to the bride, John Thomas Linagard, Esq., of Cooga House, county Clare, eldest son of the late Thomas Lingard, Captain 25th Regiment, to Charity Anna, second daughter of Robert Roberts, Esq., Bank of Ireland, and granddaughter of the late Edward Kelly, of Upper Baggot-street, Dublin, and Dromore Lodge, county Westmeath, J.P.

Clare Journal, Mon 16 Nov 1857: Marriages. On Wednesday morning, by the Rector, the Rev. George Burkett, in Kilkee church, Randal Borough, Esq., second son of the late Randal Borough, Esq., of Cappa House, Kilrush, to Kate Lloyd, second daughter of Augustus Warren, Esq., of Richview Cottage, Fermoy; and, on the same morning, Augustus Warren, brother of the bride, to Eliza, second daughter of Jonas Studdert, Esq., J.P., of the Atlantic House, Kilkee. The happy couples drove off, after partaking of a dejeuner to spend their honeymoon at Miltown.
