Clare Journal, Mon 20 Jan 1862: Marriages. On the 18th instant, in the Catholic Church, Ennis, by the Rev. J. McMahon, Mr. John Deering, of Artane, county Dublin, to Eliza, third daughter of the late M. Gleeson, of Ennis.
On the 15th inst., at the Metropolitan Church, Dublin, Marlborough-street, Alfred Renehan, Esq., L.R.C.S.I., of “The Elms,” Finglas, eldest son of Thomas Renehan, Esq., of Rathpatrick, in the county of Kilkenny, and nephew of the late Dr. Renehan, President of Maynooth College, to Helena Mary, daughter of the late Michael Gaven, Esq., of Cappa House, in this county.

In the Chapel of Athenry, county Galway, Joseph Duggan, Esq., surgeon, Castleview, Lackagh, and late assistant-surgeon in the Royal Navy, to Margaret Mary Josephine, second daughter of James Kinneen, Esq., Wilmount, Athenry, and grand-daughter of Richard Pilkington, Esq., Gower, Kilrush, in this county.

Mon 3 Feb 1862: Marriages. On the 29th October last, at St. Mary’s Church, Fort Elizabeth, Cape of Good Hope, Charles Bayly Cox, Esq., Civil Commissioner and R.M. of the District of Humansdorf, in the above colony, younger son of the late Sampson Hugh Cox, Esq., of Ballynoe, county Limerick, and formerly Captain in her Majesty’s 8th Regt., to Jessie, youngest daughter of the late Hon. Ben. Moodie, of Swellandan, formerly Member of the Legislative Council of the Cape Colony.

Clare Journal, Mon 13 Oct 1862: Marriages. On the 7th instant, in the Catholic Church, Kilrush, by the Rev. B. Scanlan, of Birr, brother of the bride, assisted by Rev. L. Browne, C.C., Michael P. Foley, Esq., M.D., MR.C.S.E., youngest son of the late Peter Foley, Esq., Merchant’s-quay, to Nora, youngest daughter of Patrick Scanlan, Esq., Moore-street. The ceremony was attended by a large number of friends of the young couple, who assisted with earnest devotion at the “Nuptial Mass” celebrated immediately after the marriage, by the officiating clergyman, Rev. B. Scanlan.
On the 9th inst., in the Parish Church of Kilrush by the Very Rev. Dr. Kelly, P.P., uncle to the Bride, assisted by the Rev. M. Quinlivan, P.P., and the Rev. Messrs Pyne and Browne, John D. Murphy, Esq., Liverpool, to Lidya Mary, youngest daughter of John Kelly, Esq., Kelvin Grove, Kilrush.
