Clare Freeman, Sat 20 Apr 1878:
Deaths. Brew. This morning, at his residence, near Ennis, at a very advanced age, William Adams Brew, Esq, J P, a gentleman highly respected through life.
Civil record: 19 Apr 1878, at Brookville, William Adams Brew, widower, aged 85, Gentleman; informant: Lucy Greene, present at death, Brookville: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/ ... 196505.pdf
This piece helps to explain how Mr Brew and Lucy Greene were related to each other:

Mr William Adams Brew must be the gentleman who would not allow Mr Carson to enter his pew in 1865 – see “Family Pews”: http://www.ourlibrary.ca/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=709
