I have a possible ancestral connection to Headstone No.236, which reads:
The date of death for Patrick(Sr) is clear and unambiguous as 27 Sept 1898 see Photo 236.Erected | by | MARGARET LYONS | Ballyduffmore | in memory of
| her fond husband | PATRICK LYONS | who died 27 Sept 1898 |
aged 82 years | their daugher ANNE | died 11th June 1900 |
aged 30 years | MICHAEL LYONS died June 1948 | PATRICK LYONS
died Jan 1959 | R.I.P.
Yet the civil death record shows his death date to be 23 Dec 1898.

So we are left to consider whether:
the stone mason made a slip of the chisel when chipping out the date,
or,
a slip of the tongue was made when registering the death on 30 Dec 1898.
I think the latter is more likely.
