Clare Freeman, Wed 30 Nov 1881:
Remarkable Longevity. Michael Donnellan, aged 95, died on yesterday, at his residence in this town. He was one of the few remaining veterans of the Peninsular war, having fought in 36 engagements. He was in the receipt of a pension for 55 years, and possessed his mental faculties to the last.
