Broadford Land League saved Michael Reddan's turf for him, while he was in prison:

Clare Freeman, Sat 30 Jul 1881:
The members of the Broadford Branch of the Land League, headed by a man named Finn, in a military attire with bands and banners proceeded to a bog in that district on Tuesday last, and drew off a quantity of turf belonging to Michael Reddan who had been sentenced by the Magistrates at Petty Sessions to a month’s imprisonment for assaulting a policeman.
