Clare Freeman, Wed 5 Mar 1879:
A sudden death occurred near Scariff on last Thursday. An old woman, known by the name of “Black Peg, “ was returning home with a bag of potatoes on her back, the collection of the day, when she died suddenly.
I searched the civil records, Scarriff, for the death of a Margaret, but failed to find one that matched Black Peg.
