Has anyone come across Emilius Wespendorf from Dresden, Germany who was appointed language teacher in Ennis College in 1839. He was in Dublin in the late 1850s but his CV indicates that he had been in Ennis up to then. I can find no mention of him in Ennis after his appointment, but could someone live in the town for at least 15 years and not get mentioned once?? He didn't marry or have children so he didn't appear in church records. Any ideas?
