She was in the enjoyment of all her faculties up to her death, and in good health until 3 or 4 weeks before her decease, and able to take charge of the house in the absence of her daughter up to this period. When the French landed in Ireland in ’98, she was married at Corofin, in the County of Clare, and had a good many children there; her maiden name was Pilkington.
The surname was usually recorded as Dobe or Doabe.
