Knockera (Killimer) baptisms and marriages 1859 - 1880

Post by Sduddy » Tue Mar 20, 2018 11:22 am

Here is my transcription of Knockera (Killimer) baptisms 1859 – 1881: https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls ... 1/mode/1up

Note that very often it's the mother’s married name, rather than her maiden name, which is given.
I hope I have not made too many mix-ups of Canty, Carey, Casey and Carty. And I may have confused Browne with Brennan, and Brew with Breen.
Let me know about mistakes - I'm happy to make corrections.

There are Letters of Freedom (also called Certificates) among the marriages. I've listed these in a separate document (attached)

Great work, Sheila - you might add the name KILLIMER as that is the name of the parish - as per Clare Library.

Hi Miriam

I've done it. Thanks for the tip.
