Jacob Bennett of Ennis wants to go to America (1818)

At http://www.csorp.nationalarchives.ie/ (ref. CSO/RP/1818/24) we read "Petition of Jacob Bennett, Mill street, Ennis, County Clare, addressed to Chief Secretary’s office, requesting passage for himself and family to British North America. He is prepared to sacrifice a proportion of future pension entitlements, accruing from service with 88th Regiment of Foot, to cover cost of removal to proposed destination. Numbers in his family ‘consist of three men Too [sic] women and four Children’."
