Vade Mecum updating suggestion

Post by smcarberry » Tue Jul 26, 2016 1:08 pm

Paddy,

When you do the updated version, overseas visitors need to be informed of such a thing as a bank holiday, with hopefully a link to a list of involved dates, that is kept current.

Also, some suggestions on how to be productive on Sundays and holidays would help, such as bookstores for map purchases and the National Museum for historical background.

Good luck with that,
Sharon

Here I go again! Claire Santry's blog http://www.irishgenealogynews.com/ makes a point of warning when bank holidays will close various repositories - she gives dates and times for the principal ones, including those in Northern Ireland.

Thanks both of you.

I've already added Claire Santry's blog and I'll post the link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_ho ... of_Ireland.
