From the Galway Mercury, and Connaught Weekly Advertiser - Saturday 07 April 1855:

On last Wednesday, a poor man named John Connor, of Moyree, in the County of Clare, having sold some corn at Kinvara, while in the act of ascending a ladder with a sack of the corn, missed his step, and fell, and the sack of corn having fallen on him, crushed him instantaneously to death.
