Priests 1829: Burke b. Crusheen, Mowny (Moroney) b. Ennis

Writing from memory after seeing this book a few days ago: the targeted contents of this online book will not appear in any Internet search because the listed clergymen are shown in charts oriented sideways on the pages. The historical context apparently is a requirement by the British government to pledge to avoid subversive activity. The book was published in 1914 but the pledges were done in 1829 throughout Ireland. There is no index, but by doing a quick visual scan of all the pages, these are the sole Clare-born priests:

Daniel Burke born Crusheen, shown in his then-current parish on book page 63

Edmond Mowny (must be Moroney) born Ennis, shown in his then-current parish on book page 67

This link should take you to the book, from the collection of the British-based Catholic Record Society:

I am showing Moroney as the actual surname for "Mowny" because my transcribing work with an East Clare parish shows handwriting in the 1870s for a Moroney family where the surname looks like Mowny at first glance. A closer look allows the eye to pick up the writing strokes better and then it is evident that Moroney is involved.
