1839 Parish Census of Miltown Malbay

Post by Gordon Corbett » Tue Sep 16, 2014 10:47 pm

I am part way into a one village study of Miltown Malbay.
All the people that I have gathered for my own Corbett family have been added to a full extraction of the 1901 and 1911 censuses, matching up family members, marriages, children and deaths.
I am now adding an extraction of the 1839 Parish Census of Miltown Malbay; that is, the copy pages that I have purchased from Clare Heritage Centre.

I have already transcribed the sheets, as a single project, but it is incomplete:
http://www.igp-web.com/igparchives/ire/ ... malbay.txt

I would like to complete this and overlay it on the one village study but need the missing pages.
Can anyone help me?

This mini-census has been discussed before http://www.ourlibrary.ca/phpbb2/viewtop ... f=1&t=2273 and I don't think any more pages have come to light.

:D I am glad that you have responded Lucille. After such a long time I thought that you may have moved on.
If you still have the page from the census can you send a copy to me?
I now have over 4000 people in the FTM file which will be uploaded to Ancestry.

Hi Gordon

I'm still here ... and no further on with the Miltown Malbay relatives. I'm looking forward to seeing your work.

The igp websites for the 1839 are

http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ire/ ... index.html - originals
http://www.igp-web.com/igparchives/ire/ ... malbay.txt - the transcript

I'm not sure if that is what you want, as you yourself are credited for these documents on the igp site.

I thought that you had a sheet that was not part of mine?

Drat
I will have to see what I can get from the Heritage Centre, or other sources.
