Kellaher, Ennistymon

Post by clares » Thu Sep 11, 2014 2:17 pm

Hi,

I have been researching my family tree and have just found out that my great great grandfather Thomas Kellaher was born in Ennistymon in 1837.
I know he joined the army in Cork in June 1854 at the age of 17 and when he was discharged in
June 1876 he moved to Dublin.
I cant find any records of his birth as civil records don't go back that far

Does anyone have any ideas how I can delve a little deeper?

Hi Michael,

Many thanks for your reply.
I will have a look through the census under the variations of that name
