-- FUNERAL OF THE LATE R. O'GORMAN. •
The remains of the late Richard O'Gorman, Esq., were on Monday interred in Glasnevin Cimetery. The funeral was numerously and respectably Attended, the cortege consisting of upwards of one hundred private carriages. The body was enclosed in a suite of coffins, the external one being of polished oak, with brass mountings. The breast-plate bore the folowing inscription:—
RICHARD O'UtORMAN, Died 7th November, 1867, Aged 89 years.
R.I.P.
The procession left the late residence of the deceased, Pembroke-road, at nine o'clock, and proceeded along Baggot-street, Merrion-square East and North, Clarestreet, Nassauestreet, Westmoreland-street, Sackvillestreet, North Frederick-street, Blessington-street, and on lie the ominetery, where the remains were received by the following members of the Cemeteries Committee :— Leurence Waldron. D L ; Sir John Bradstreet, Bart ; Charles Kennedy, Richard Martin, Michael Merriman, Redmond Carroll, Richard J. Devitt, John Rafferty, and Thomas Martin.
The chief mourners were—Nicholas J Lalor, J P; Capt Purcell O'Gorman, Nicholas O'Gorman, Edward Fox, J P; Anthony Fox, Edward Fox, jun, Captain Mule cahy,eJas Charles Fox, Richard Lalor, and Wm Fox.
Among those who attended were : —The Lord Mayor, Mr. Justice O'Hagan, Sir J Power, Bart, M.P. ; Sir C O'Loghlen, Bart, M.P.; Mr. W. H. F. Cogan, M.P. ; Mr. O'Donnell. The remains were interred in the family burying-place of the deceased, the burial service of the Roman Catholic Church being chanted by a large body of clergymen. —Dublin Mail.
