New Library donated database, U.S. news of Clare-born-

Another massive database born of incredible patience and perseverance has appeared in the "What's New" section of the Library's website: "Persons born in County Clare mentioned in Newspapers of the Library of Congress, USA." The person who typed out the major details of 1176 news items is Diana McGrath Blaser. Now it is a matter of seconds to see whether an interesting article can be retrieved from the LOC website. Note that the contents will be a bit weighted toward the West Coast, as the San Francisco newspapers generously published obituaries/death notices of everyone, not just notables, while some states either don't have such newspapers for that time period or the right ones have not yet been imaged.
