James Greene Kilkee Area

HI,
Trying to confirm if ancestor James Greene was born in Kilkee area of County Clair about 1801. He emigrated to New Brunswick about 1822. A hand written note by family member in NY in the 1930's indicates Kilkee as birth place. Two descendants, one deceased in 2008 and the other still living, have made noted national contributions in the public and private sectors of the United States(Pulitzer Award,Honorary Knighthood, etc.) A family History is in development and this is the only issue still pending.
