23 Dec 1890 Tombstone Epitaph Prospector (Arizona) Wm. HASSETT, one of the old timers in the history of Tombstone, breathed his last yesterday evening. He had been suffering a long time with consumption...He was a native of Enniss, CCI, and was 44 years of age. In 1880 he left Nevada... arrived in Tomstone and found work in the Contention mine...His funeral...from the Catholic church...

25 Feb 1898 Owyhee Avalanche (Idaho) p.1 At Silver City, February 24, 1898, Mrs. Rachel SCALES, aged 91 years, 23 days...born in CCI, February 1, 1807...came to the United States in 1855 [to Maine, per obituary published Mar 11th, p. 1] and to Idaho in 1879...made her home with her son and daughter , Mr. John Scales and Mrs. W.H. Townsend...leaves other daughters: Mrs. Buck of Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. D'Orsay of North Vassal boro, Maine.

At Blackfoot, Idaho Territory, March 22, 1887, James DALY, aged 29 years. Native of CCI. The deceased leaves a mother, brother, and sister in Ireland, and two brothers on this coast...one of whom (Thomas) resides in this county. The deceased came to this county two years ago in hopes of gaining his health...He was a charter member of Bohemian Council, No. 26, A.L. of H.

5 May 1912 Duluth News-Tribune (MN) p. 6 Two Harbors, May 4 – ...Mrs. Mary HANNON... passed away Thursday...at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D.R. Sullivan, on Second avenue in this city...the remains will be taken to Ironwood, Michigan, for interment where her husband is buried. Mrs. Hannon, who was nearly 82 years of age resided here for twenty-six years. [She] was born in CCI and came to America with her parents in 1847...married to Thomas Hannon in 1847 in Binghampton, New York...is survived by...children: John Hannon of Buffalo, New York; Mrs. Joseph Cramans of Whitefish, Montana; S.C. Hannon of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Theordore Hannon of Buffalo, New York, and Mrs. D.R. Sullivan of this city...was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

16 Mar 1811 Kansas City Star (Missouri) p. 3 Mrs. Mary H. MONROE, 71 years old, died at her home, 115 West Farmer Street, Independence, this morning. She was born in CCI and had lived in Kansas City and Independence forty years. Seven children survive.

14 Feb 1910 Kansas City Star (Missouri) Leavenworth, Kas., Feb. 14 – William NUGENT, 81 years old...died at his home, 309 Ottawa Street yesterday. He has been ill about two months. Mr. Nugent came to Leavenworth in 1858 and for several years prior to the construction of first railroad across the plains of Kansas was a freighter, hauling goods...Later he entered the contracting business, in which he remained until the loss of his eyesight...forced him to retire...Mr. Nugent was born in CCI, February 8, 1829. In 1847, when 18 years old, he came to America and settled in Burlington, Vt. Later he removed to Washington, where he was married. From Washington he came here. A widow, one son, William Nugent, Jr., and two daughters, Miss Margaret Nugent of Leavenworth and Mrs. T.K. Smith of 1212 Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, survive...Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

13 Aug 1910 Colfax County Stockman (New Mexico) p. 1 Paddy BLAKE, who was born at Ballygireen, parish of Kilnasoolagh, CCI, 119 years ago, has died in Corofin Union hospital. Paddy had a clear memory of events that happened a hundred years ago...

23 Feb 1889 Bismarck Tribune (North Dakota) p. 3 ARMITAGE Yesterday...at her home in this city...Mrs. John Davidson. Her death was not unexpected...has been confined to her room the greater part of...the past year...Mrs. Davidson's maiden name was Sophia Jane Armitage...born Jan. 6, 1830, in Kilrush, of Clare, Ireland. In 1859 she moved with her parents...to Canada where in 1856 she was married to John Davidson at Toronto, Ontario...came to...Bismarck from Brainerd, Minn...in 1880...Mr. Davidson died in 1892...She leaves three daughters the Misses Kittie, Minnie, and Maggie Davidson.

11 Oct 1911 Oregonian p. 7 Mrs. Betsey O'BRIEN, mother of J.P. O'Brien, vice-president and general manager of the Harriman railroads, died at her son's home at 72 Twelfth street North yesterday...after an illness of less than two days. She was about 70 years old. Mrs. O'Brien was a native of CCI and at an early age went to Winsted, Connecticut with her parents. She was married there to Matthew O'Brien...Her husband died about ten years ago and since then she has been living with her sons – Frederick J. O'Brien of Winsted; Thomas F. O'Brien, agent for the O-W.R. & N. Co, at Pendleton [OR], and J.P. O'Brien in this city. The last two years of her life were spent in Portland [OR]. She was seldom ill and was attached Sunday with stomach trouble...[She will be buried in Winsted beside her husband.]
