In "Sixty Years of a Soldier's Life" by Major-General Sir Alfred E. Turner (see http://openlibrary.org/details/sixtyyearsofsold00turn ) the latter gives his account of the Bodyke evictions (see http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclar ... _index.htm for a synopsis of these events). Again, thanks to Sharon Carberry for flagging the http://www.openlibrary.org site on this forum. It contains numerous full-text books related to Clare history. Definitely worth grazing in.
