T.A. Westropp's Churches of Clare article

Post by smcarberry » Sun Mar 22, 2009 4:09 pm

T.A. Westropp - "On the Churches of Clare"
Proceedings of the Royal Irish Academy, Third Series, Vol VI, 1900-02, p. 100

I checked the forum's archives and this Westropp article on Clare churches has not been posted previously. While there are
his usual architectural descriptions, the churches are also described in clusters geographically, with useful historical information.

To reach it, use the Google Books search engine (go to Google main page's upper lefthand link labelled "more," then click on "books") with either of the following as a keyword to bring up a link to the article:

Bailldearg
Carraicaileboirne

Thank you for providing a link to the Clare Library as a resource for the Westropp articles. The Library's version is handy for copy-and-paste extractions of sections, which is much more difficult with the Google Book version. The advantage of a Google Book version is the ability to use the search engine which is provided for each article, whereas the Library's
search engine will bring up all instances of a specific inputted keyword on the Library's website. So, it is good to have
multiple resources for the same publications.
