Hi Sharon - thank you for those kind words !! I had a look at 'Church Records' on Clare Library - and when I looked at details for 'Kilchreest' - it says see 'Clondegad' - so it is now the one parish. The church is usually called 'Ballycorrick' - and the local cemetery is in 'Kilchreest'. The other church in the parish is at Lissycasey (various spellings of it ) - and home to famous pub - Fanny O Deas - where the fire has not gone out since 1790 !! There is also an area in the parish called PARADISE !! And KYLE is the Irish for 'church' !! I have a grandnephew in Va. called KYLE !! Miriam.
