Burke's Colonial Gentry

Post by Lucille » Mon Apr 30, 2012 11:53 am

Hi all
Has anyone who has used Burke's Colonial Gentry or Burke's Irish Families got any views on his reliability and accuracy?

Based on the lineage of Judge James Casey of Melbourne, Australia and formerly of Tromeroe, Co. Clare I have put together a tree that nicely blends O'Dwyers, Caseys, and Coffeys together, but I'm a bit sceptical because it seems too right - or have I just been at this game too long and become cynical about secondary sources?!
