Tullyvargmore and Eastcahirliege

Post by brendan » Fri Mar 02, 2012 11:42 pm

Well done for addition of two more great resources: Ejectment Books, and Freeholders 1768. Is anyone familiar with the placenames, Tullyvargmore & Eastcahirliege, mentioned in the Freeholders 1768 resource? Thanks!

Hi,
I suspect Tullyvargmore is Tullyvarraga.
Cahirliege could be Caherteige (or Caherlean, Caherlough),

Looking at the map of Clonloghan Parish at
http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclar ... nlands.htm
Tullyvarraga is close to Caherteige. Shannon Airport/Town was built on these lands.
