Continuing the posting of those found with a quick review of census listings indicated by Footnote.com as having Clare-born, these the ones I found in Indiana.
Sharon Carberry USA
My method of doing these census extractions:
All individuals are those labeled on a census page as having been born in County Clare, for whom I do not repeat that
label below. I show an Irish county only for the wives who were born in a different county. There are families in which
the censustaker showed that all the children were born in Clare before emigration.
Occupations are omitted except for farmers and skilled trades. Most young people lived in the households of their employers, but that household is not shown below.
Regarding U.S. geo-political jurisdictions: the units are (going from large to small):
state
county
town or township (rural) or district/precinct (very rural) or boro/borough or city (sometimes with a particular ward)
A city with wards was a large one, which in 1860 were mostly along the Eastern seaboard or along the Great Lakes, since the nation did not yet have a completed coast-to-coast railway system.
