Belfast cemetery with burials of Clare people

Post by smcarberry » Thu Sep 18, 2008 12:43 pm

I stumbled into unusually complete cemetery records (only the first ten years or so were not preserved). The online database is easily searchable, even as to cause of death. There are burials for about a half-dozen people of Clare origin. It seems that some of the families of Clare who also owned property in Dublin had a family member or two who went north. For
example, on p. 83, there is a listing for spinster Elizabeth Blood, who died of consumption at age 64 on 11 Oct 1862, noted
as born County Clare and also of Dublin. See also Ivers and Massy/Massey.
