1911 Census Lookup Please

Post by Dick Barton » Tue Jul 15, 2008 8:25 pm

Hi All,
Could I impose on your generosity one more time and ask if some kind person could do a lookup for the families listed below but in the 1911 census.

1901 Census of Clare
District Electoral Division: Loughea
Townland: Fahy
DED Number: 153/4

Smyth, Tim Head 66 Male Farmer Married Co. Clare
Smyth, Hanora Wife 59 Female Married Co. Clare
Smyth, Con Son 31 Male Farmer's Son Not Married Co. Clare
Smyth, Tim Son 21 Male Farmer's Son Not Married Co. Clare
Smyth, Denis Son 19 Male Farmer's Son Not Married Co. Clare
Smyth, Hanora Daughter 17 Female Farmer's Daughter Not Married Co. Clare
Smyth, Thomas Son 15 Male Scholar Not Married Co. Clare
Smyth, Ann Daughter 13 Female Scholar Not Married Co. Clare

1901 Census of Clare
District Electoral Division: Kyle
Townland: Cloonloum More
DED Number: 140/3

Mac Inerney, Michael Head 43 Male Farmer Married Co. Clare
Mac Inerney, Sarah Wife 42 Female Married Co. Clare
Lenihan, Michael Stepson 22 Male Farmer's Son Not Married Co. Clare
Lenihan, Ellen Stepdaughter 15 Female Scholar Not Married Co. Clare
Lenihan, Sarah Stepdaughter 12 Female Scholar Not Married Co. Clare
Mac Inerney, John Son 9 Male Scholar Not Married Co. Clare
Mac Inerney, Margaret Daughter 8 Female Scholar Not Married Co. Clare
Mac Inerney, Patrick Son 6 Male Scholar Not Married Co. Clare
Mac Inerney, Mary Daughter 4 Female Not Married Co. Clare
Mac Inerney, Thomas Son 3 Male Not Married Co. Clare

I am attempting to establish that a Tim Smyth (born Feakle 1905) was the son of one of the above Smyth's and that his aunt who he went to live with on the death of his parents while he was young was Hanora Lenihan, nee Smyth married to Michael Lenihan shown above.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Bye
Paul

In the course of reading Rosemary Muscarella Ardolina's book on Old Calvary Cemetery: New Yorkers Carved In Stone, I
saw a listing to mention, although I have no way of knowing the relationship of that Thomas Smyth to Tim's family shown
in the original posting.

Gravestone 5156 (as ordered in the book) on p. 413 has this as the inscription:
Erected by Thomas Smyth in memory of his wife Catherine d. 8 June 1937. Natives of Feakle, Clare.
