OBITUARY

Mrs H. Fitzgerald
There passed away at the Mater Hospital, Rockhampton, on January 6. after a long illness, Mrs Honor Fitzgerald, relict of Mr Patrick Fitzgerald, formerly of Mt, Morgan.

Mrs Fitzgerald was born at Kilafanora, Ennis, Ireland, and lived her early life at Ennistynon, County Clare. As a young girl she left her native land in 1889. After some weeks on the Jumna which was afterwards wrecked with her sister ship, the Dacca, she arrived at Brisbane, but soon left for Rockhampton and Mt. Morgan, where she was employed until 1900, when she was married to Mr Patrick Fitzgerald and took up residence at Red Hill, Mount Morgan.

There are seven sons, three daughters and a number of grandchildren to mourn their loss..
Mrs Fitzgerald had a cheerful disposition and was respected by all who knew her. The funeral moved from the Sacred Heart Church, Mount Morgan and was well attended. The Rev. Father Benjamin performed the last sad rites at the church and graveside.
