Another story of good fortune coming the way of Clare-born people. This is a favorite type of story in newspapers of the early 20th century, and I think it is interesting reading here as well. The very end of the article, not shown below, relates how the heir hopes that his peace and contentment is not affected by his new status and celebrity due to the size of the fortune.
I wish there were also accounts published of how Irish people made their own prosperity with farming and manufacturing with just their own hands, perhaps some sons, and maybe a small number of hired help.
