Drinagh and Drumline

Post by dundeemayer » Mon May 30, 2011 2:13 pm

In the Tithe Applotments for Kilmaley parish there are a number of townalnds that don't appear in the 1855 Griffith's Valuation. There are also a number of townlands in Griffith's that do not appear in the Tithe's. I have been able to reasonably conclude that places like Poulaknew (Tithe) became part of Feighroe in 1855, and that Rathmore (Tithe) may have become Ballydonohoe in 1855. Two places I cannot nail down in the Tithe Applotments are Drinagh and Drumline. Based on their location in the listing, they may have been located near Drimanure and Drimatehy, around the Kilmaley/Inagh parish border. I also have fouond a few Baptism records in Kilmaley parish that identify Drinagh.

If anyone knows where Drinagh and Drumline may have been in Kilmaley parish, I would appreciate the assistance. I am in the process of matching the names of the tenants, which may get me closer.

Thanks.

John
