Well-organized webpage with links for Irish research

Post by smcarberry » Thu Mar 24, 2011 2:38 pm

Kudos to those family historians who have taken the time to develop a clear, comprehensive webpage devoted to links for Irish research. Here is one of those: http://humphrysfamilytree.com/sources.html

Thank you for passing that site on Sharon. Would that I could ever be that organized! Any others that you would recommend?

Lucille,

You might want to take a look at what is listed at these two links:

http://www.loc.gov/rr/genealogy/bib_gui ... dbibl.html
Library of Congress (Washinigton, D.C.): published bibliographies of resources for Irish genealogy

http://www.ihgs.ac.uk/library/pdf/ireland.pdf
Brief listing of Irish research material on CDs, with a link to Irish census substitutes on Census Online site, sorted by county

I also have a list of books published on Clare families, that I could post after cleaning it up a bit because I use my own kind of abbreviations.

Thank you for that Sharon. Both those look very interesting. When time permits the list of books would also be very welcome.

Thanks
Lucille

Another comprehensive list at

Unfortunately, it's just a set of jpeg images of a typed list so you will have to retype all the addresses.
