The Public Advertiser (London, England), Tuesday, August 9, 1768 tells us that David Bran of Ballybran in the County of Clare went to vote in the recent elections in that County. He was aged 110 years.

I note that the Brans were still there in Ballybran in the Tithes Aplotments of 1827.

A subsequent report in the Morning Post and Daily Advertiser (London, England), Wednesday, March 27, 1776 tells us that David Bran died at Tinnerlane in the County of Clare aged 117 years. He retained his senses to the last and ate a hearty dinner on the day of his death.
