Wanted:Hurley alias Hart alias Hickman the polygamist (1709)

Post by Paddy Casey » Sat May 03, 2008 3:58 pm

This Wanted for Polygamy notice citing a Clare man appeared in the London Gazette (London, England), Thursday, May 12, 1709. The wanted man is named as Patrick Hurley, alias William Hart, alias William Hickman. The list of his disfigurements makes it clear that he was a marked man. A guinea is offered to the person finding him.

For Clare genealogists working on the Hurley, Hart or Hickman lines (or any other lines, for that matter) this report may muddy the waters a little. Sorry. Paddy.
