Hello - re your query - McMahon/Behan. Kilrush is the registration of south West Clare. The area you are interested in is about 14 miles west of Kilrush.
Your relations came from Rinemacderig - which is part of the village of Carrigaholt and in the Parish of Moyarta. Log on to www.clarelibrary.ie - genealogy - at bottom right of page you will find 'Research Support' = then select Parish Index - then MOYARTA - sev. doc. - e.g. Griffith Vals. of 1855 - show several families of McMahon & Behan - photos will show you Carrigaholt Castle which is also in the townland.

To find a particular parish, or townland, or town or village (or indeed Barony or island) on the website click on the Places and Placenames link (http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclar ... places.htm) on the website homepage. The whole website is based on the theme of 'place', i.e. County Clare, and the Places and Placenames link from the homepage is one of the most important entry points to the website, others being the Search This Website link (http://www.clarelibrary.ie/search.html) and What's New (http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/whatsnew.htm).

You will also find links to the Parish Index and the Townland Index on the main Genealogy page (http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclar ... nealog.htm) under Research Support.

... and, of course, if you can't find a phrase like `research support' on a long web page, type Ctrl+F to use the search facility in your browser to jump to the elusive phrase.
