Subject: "Death & Disease in 19th Century Ireland"

Dr Larry Geary is Senior Lecturer in the Department of History at UCC. He has research interests in the social and political history of nineteenth-century Ireland; the social history of medicine in Ireland; the social and medical history of the Great Famine; and Irish-Australian history. His numerous publications include the book "Medicine and charity in Ireland, 1718-1851" (Dublin: UCD Press, 2004).
