The 1768 Freeholders list has
John Stinson, Residence Gortacullen, Freehold Gortacullen.
(Gortacullen is in Kilseily/Broadford Parish)
Have you looked at the Ormsby family tree in Burke's Irish Family Records ?

Re: Stenson and Gurnell, Sixmilebridge County Clare
Freeman's Journal - Wednesday 21 May 1851
BIRTHS
At Emmadale, Six-mile-bridge, county Clare, the lady of John Ormsby Stenson, Esq. of a daughter.
Another piece of the puzzle. I am guessing that Emmadale is the same place as Emma Vale and is in Six Mile Bridge, so maybe it is the name of a house.

Re: Stenson and Gurnell, Sixmilebridge County Clare
I noted earlier on this thread the death of Henry Stenson, RIC, Athea, so should also note his daughter's marriage to Thomas O'Grady in the Limerick Chronicle 4 Oct 1870.
