Would any member know if the above records are available on micro film - like those of R.C. Church ?
I have a request from America re info - I know the Registers are held at St. Columba's Church in Ennis - and it would be poss. to see them if prior arrangement made with Rev. Canon Hanna.

Miriam,
Some of the original old Kilrush C Of I registers are kept in the Representative Church Body Library in Churchtown in Dublin. According to John Grenham's Tracing Your Irish Ancestors, the RCBL has baptisms 1741-1840, marriages 1766-1841 and burials 1742-1841 for Kilrush. The National Archives has microfilms of baptisms 1741-1872, marriages 1760-1845 and burials 1742-1873.
For Kilferagh (Kilkee), the RCBL has marriages 1845-1954 and NA (M5244) has baptisms and marriages for 1829. The latter looks like a misprint - why would a single year have been microfilmed?

Hi Miriam,
If you are going to the RCBL in Dublin, note also the Kilrush parish vestry books dating from 1741 to 1876. There may well be interesting items noted in these minutes.
All the best,
- Polycarp

Many thanks Paddy W & Polycarp.
I think these Americans should visit Dublin & Kilrush/Kilkee where they would find a wealth of info re their families.
Miriam.
