Clare Library website - townlands now linked to map pages

The alert among you may have already noted a major addition to the crosslinks on the Library website. There were already lists of townlands and there were already maps but now there are direct links from the townlands to the 1842 Ordnance Survey maps. So if you go to http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclar ... wnland.htm and go to your townland of choice you will see that there is a direct link which takes you to that townland's1842 OS map page. This potentiates townland searching enormously and - this will slay you - if you click on "Townlands Parishes 1842" in the tool window that pops up in the left upper screen you get a superb coloured display of the townlands overlaid on their parishes. It's all automatic.

Go hither and boggle.
