Murders of 1840s reported, House of Commons Vol. 35

Post by smcarberry » Sun Mar 21, 2010 11:59 pm

Having checked the Forum archives, this is the first posting about this Parliamentary paper ("Accounts and Papers, Vol.35) of the House of Commons, a Google book. The pdf file is several pages long, with different lists describing Clare events mostly in the 1840s, with a few in the 1830s. My extraction is just victims' names, dates, report pages, and mostly the barony mentioned. This is intended to alert readers to where in the report fuller information is available. The report may contain a townland, and my attempt to list years accurately is just something quickly done. Please do not cite any event without having consulted the actual page in the report. Also, not every victim died, so some of these people may be listed in databases after the 1840s, such as the Griffiths Valuation of the mid-1850s.
