Letter from Clare freemen etc. April 11 1771

Attached is an image of a letter written on 11-Apr-1771 and published in the Public Register or The Freeman's Journal (Dublin, Ireland), Thursday, April 11, 1771 by the High Sheriff, Grand Jury and Freeholders of the County of Clare to Dr Charles Lucas. Dr Lucas was a native of Clare and one of the representatives in Parliament for the city of Dublin. In this letter they acknowledge, in the flowery language of the time, his efforts to defend their liberties and give him their most hearty thanks.

I thought it worth putting this on-line because it contains a long list of names of Clare worthies of that era.
