Re: hospital in or near ennis?
Saturday August 27 1932 a Father Reidy OMI officiated at the funeral of his cousin Michael Gallery who died young. I think though he is Thomas http://www.oblates.ie/assets/components ... gy07dd.pdf

Re: hospital in or near ennis?
That is highly likely to be the Reidys I am related to . Martin Taafe was married to Mary Moloney. He was from Ruan (Erinagh and Drumcavin). Mary Moloney was very likely from Dysart and I know they were related to Reidys but not which one. My gt grandmother was Mary Taaffe (Minnie) married to David ...

Re: hospital in or near ennis?
I am trying to track down Reidys who were related to the Taaffes or Erinagh (my gt grandmother was a Taaffe) an Oblate Father officiated at her son Michael Gallerys funeral in 1932 he was Father Reidy and was named as a cousin. He must have descended from one of the Taaffe sisters as there were no G...

Re: Kierce/Kerse/Kierse families near Corrofin
You are not going to find Catholic church records prior to 1819 - there were not any churches then. I dont know about Protestant records, but if there were any they mostly dont exist any more. land records are your most likely source. Most people cant go back that far.

http://sextonofkilmurryibrickaneparish.blogspot.fr Kildimo is beside the crosses of Annagh in West Clare. There are lots of Sextons in the area http://oac.ie/site/content/kildimo-graveyard. You could contact OAC and see if they could help . Twomey is a not uncommon name in Clare. Clarecastle is more...

Quinn abbey http://www.igp-web.com/igparchives/ire/clare/cemeteries/quin.txt I am pretty sure this is not complete as my grandmothers Quinn side have a vault there which does not seem to be mentioned. Another issue is that gravestones are not always complete. My family have a story about how they go...

Mocavo.com
I am getting good results with the (free) Mocavo.com search. I ran several google searches on Daniel Gallery of Montreal (MP and Alderman). It seemed some new material was online. After doing so I ran a search with Mocavo and got some more results. It pulled up the street directories of the time Try...

Re: Tubber snippets: Burnell, O'Connor
Well I have found one tubber related thing out in the last while though not sure if of interest. My gt gt grandfather was Martin Taaffe of Erinagh and Drumcavin. Patricia Norrington has been researching Elizabeth Eager who was recommended for a job by Martin Taaffe. She was connected to the Tubber T...
